Needed something simple. Just a way to see who's at the door before opening it, you know? Found this one after scrolling through way too many listings on Amazon. Picked it because it was cheap, like under 10 bucks, and figured worth a shot.
Install was honestly stupid easy. Unscrews into two parts — you slide each side into the hole in your door and screw em back together. Tightened right up. The instructions said use a 9/16" bit but I only had a 5/8" spade and it still worked fine. That tiny difference? Didn't matter at all.
The view is wide. Like, wider than I expected actually. Can see pretty much my whole porch which is exactly what I wanted. Image is crisp enough for me, though I've heard some people say the center gets a little blurry. Didn't really bother me personally.
That little rotating privacy cover on the inside is a nice touch. Means nobody outside can peek in, which gives me extra peace of mind at night. Already thinking about grabbing a second one for the back door.

Installation was pleasantly simple, and the included cutter made the job fast on my fiberglass door. With just my drill, I had everything fitted in about ten minutes, and the peephole screwed together easily by hand. The build feels solid, and the finish blends nicely with my existing door hardware.
The view is bright, clear, and wide enough to see who is outside without any trouble. I also really like the little privacy cover on the inside, which is a smart extra touch. While the supplied bit may struggle on harder wood or metal doors, the peephole itself works wonderfully, looks great, and offers very good value for the price.

Renting an apartment comes with all kinds of weird little surprises — mine had the peephole painted over. Picked this up and honestly? Best few dollars I've spent in a while.
Installation is dead simple. No tools really required, just hand-tighten and you're done in like five minutes — maybe less. There's a little privacy flap on the back that blocks light from shining through during the day, which is a genuinely nice touch. Didn't expect that at this price point.
The fisheye lens gives you a solid wide-angle view of your entire porch. Optical quality is good enough to clearly make out who's standing there without cracking the door open. For basic door security, it absolutely does the job.
Fair warning though — drilling a fresh hole does require a 9/16" bit, which isn't always in a standard home kit. Worth knowing before you start.
